Blessing each other in a time of crisis

Hi guys,
Hope you’re doing well๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–
This message was first sent to the girls in a group that shares encouragement and I believe it is right to share it here as well in adapted format.

I felt led to remind you of 1 Tim. 4:12 and I pray that as you are strengthened and encouraged in your fervour for the Lord you will be blessed to be a blessing.
Can I ask for something from each of you?
In the next week, while you are all home (I know key workers are not but they are welcome to join this too) and less busy, could you all send one word of encouragement to someone you know?
It could be a Scripture, a word that God has used to give you hope, describing a picture or vision, or lyrics of a song, anything that encourages.

I would really like it if everyone participated because I know that God wants to use us to bless each other.
1 Timothy 4:12 states:
Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.

Here is each facet of the encouragement we are receiving explained:
In speech-
Let us speak words of grace and blessing (Colossians 4:6),
In conduct-
Let us show patience and gentleness to our families and others we speak to in this time of where perseverance in love is being tried,
In love-
Let us think, speak, and act with love. When our hearts brim with love toward the Lord, as happens after immersing oneself in Scripture reading and study, psalm, song, and hymn singing, thanksgiving, and prayer, we will love one another too. Showing love and goodness towards our household members and people we are in touch with on social media can and will make a tremendous impact for good at this time.
In faith-
Because our God is a strong fortress and and the supreme Creator of Heaven and earth, we can trust Him to carry us through every storm Psalm 46,
In purity-
Each believer in Christ's body should be committed to purity as we are grafted into a holy people. Whatever area of our lives is concerned, we should be pure before the Lord. No dirt should be found on our garments of righteousness that the Lord has clothed us with.
Remember the Lord is gracious and full of mercy, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. (Psalm 145:8)
If you fall you can always get back up by repenting and clinging to God. (1 John 1:9)
Romans 12:9 tells us to cling to what is good.
This is an encouragement and Philippians 4:8 also shows that we should be fixing our eyes on what is good in this season and at all times!
Love you all, you are each such a blessing; if you are struggling with anything or just feel alone, know that God is with you and His boundless love envelops/ensconces you at this time of change.
He is your peace. Isaiah 32:18 is true for you and your family if you choose Jesus and abide in Him.

Lockdown: Stability in the storm

Lockdown is happening; we can still rejoice!
God is still sovereign and His will can be seen in the lives of believers and the world in general.
God seems to be giving me these Scriptures:

“Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord. Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Contribute to the needs of the saints and seek to show hospitality.

If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:9-13, 18, 21‬ ‭(ESV‬‬)

Let us conquer with love and be faithful in our identity as peace-centred people.
There is victory in love and we can love our families/ households in this season in a way we never had before, loving each other in a new dimensions.

Let us be obedient to the government in following public health advice and general instructions.
In this we can limit the spread of disease and share love instead of the virus!

“Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval,

Owe no one anything, except to love each other, for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law. For the commandments, "You shall not commit adultery, You shall not murder, You shall not steal, You shall not covet," and any other commandment, are summed up in this word: "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Love does no wrong to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭13:1-3, 8-10‬ ‭(ESV‬‬)

We do not need to be out and about to be the Church; we do need to be home and full of love to those in our homes and the world outside via modern technology and by using ingenuity.
Necessity is the mother of invention. And the Holy Spirit is the most creative one in the universe. Believers, if you are in Him you have that creative power in Him. We don’t need to be ‘at’ church, but we can fulfil the law of Christ by loving others well.

“Besides this you know the time, that the hour has come for you to wake from sleep. For salvation is nearer to us now than when we first believed.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭13:11‬ (‭ESV‬‬)

Church, awake! This is the time to arise and be the Body of Jesus. His hands and feet follow His commands and bless the world by being at peace, living in a good way, loving in every way.

“Awake, awake, Zion, clothe yourself with strength! Put on your garments of splendor, Jerusalem, the holy city. The uncircumcised and defiled will not enter you again.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭52:1‬ (‭NIV‬‬)

Blessings in Christ,

Going out to bless the world

Going out to bless the world
“For the creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:19‬ ‭(NIV‬‬)
As mentioned previously, we need to share Jesus not coronavirus, therefore compliance with public health advice is keeping to this.
This situation though presents a unique, exciting opportunity for the Body of Christ to grow and share the life and light within us with the watching world.

This is the church’s greatest hour.
It’s time for us to arm ourselves with the armour of God and reach out to a lost, dying, and broken world.
One does not need to touch people for Jesus to touch their lives. Let the Holy Spirit lead you; if it’s staying at home, stay home; if it’s going out, go out with faith and only do what He says.

Of course follow public health advice, but do not allow fear to stifle your witness!

The joy of the Lord is our strength AND the battle is the Lord’s.
So rejoice in the God who quiets you with His love and rejoices over you with singing.
Jesus is alive and He’s reigning. He is refreshing the saints now and equipping them to go out!
The world “eagerly waits for the revealing of the sons of God,” (Romans 8:19): this is our time!
Romans 8:18-24, 28-39 are a great exhortation for the saints at this time.

A blessing over the nation that I live in and all the nations of the world:
“it will burst into bloom; it will rejoice greatly and shout for joy. The glory of Lebanon will be given to it, the splendor of Carmel and Sharon; they will see the glory of the Lord, the splendor of our God.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭35:2‬ ‭(NIV‬‬)

God bless you all and may we all go out in mission for the saints of God and for the Lamb!

Coronavirus response ๐Ÿ’–

Dear saints and all who read,
In this time of despondency and confusion, I have good news,
‘Jesus is Victor!’ There is nothing that can separate someone in Christ from His love and if you are not in Him just tell Him you want to follow Him, ask forgiveness of your sins/wrongdoings and turn from them from this point on in the strength that He will give you, and ask Him to fill you with His Holy Spirit. Find a Bible-believing church online as many are not meeting in-person at the moment and start reading the Bible.
For those of us who already believe, it is time to go further and deeper:
“...I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.”
‭‭John‬ ‭14:12‬ (NIV)
We have our work cut out for us! But not to do in our own strength only by the grace of God, in His power and joy that is our strength can we walk (live)according to His will.

The key to not allowing this virus outbreak to hinder you is to, ‘Love the Lord your God’ and ‘Love your neighbour as yourself.’ (Deuteronomy 6:5) (Leviticus 19:18) (Luke 10:27)

Remember this: we are the light of the world and the salt of the earth.
Matthew 4:16 speaks of the light in Jesus and Matthew 5:13-16 speaks of the salt and light that we are.
Remember Colossians 4:6:
Let your speech be always gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.
Remember the living hope that we have in Jesus (1 Peter 1:3) and share it around.
Be a helper, be an available friend to old friends and new, be an intercessor, be a worshipper.
Make reality what you know it should be by declaring God’s Kingdom come and partnering with His Holy Spirit to see Heaven collide with earth.

Stay safe and stay in love with Jesus! ๐Ÿ’–

Imagine thinking, What would Jesus do? , before every word and action.
(I love the way that God blesses my following of His instructions.)
Whenever I ask this question and truly ponder it waiting for an answer, lives around me are affected.
I used to ask it regularly, but have neglected both the asking and in some situations the actions that would/do follow. I am quite fond of conversing with the Holy Spirit, as He is my life-breath: I cannot do anything without Him. So seeing, one might assume that I was alright and needed no improvement. No! Brothers and sisters, in spite of my flowing relationship with Him, I haven't followed Him as completely as I need to. I long to see change in my life as never before. I need to affect others around me for good. How do you think a young man or woman can cleanse his way? By observing, listening to, and obeying the Word of God.

God bless you brothers and sisters,
May you see the good of Jerusalem all the days of your life.
Yes, may you see your children's children; Peace be upon Israel!
(Psalm 128 :3b +4)

A vision of Love

Tonight I've had a wonderful vision.

I saw an angel standing in the hallway and he said , "It's time for you to go."
So I surrendered myself to the Lord, and I saw the angel carry my body. It was passed up to Heaven and placed in the Father's Arms.
He said (I believe) , "My daughter I Love you. My child I am pleased with you. You bring Me such joy and you are so loving and kind. I have a purpose for your life, and My purpose for your life is great."
I had been feeling a bit dismal this evening and the Lord really blessed me with His Love.
From time to time He encourages me with such visions, what a Loving God He is!
